Where is my building society now?

This search facility will tell you what has happened to a building society that no longer exists and provides a link to its successor's website, where appropriate. If the society has been dissolved it means that it has ceased business and there is no successor body.

How did my building society end up where it is now?

If you wish to track the route that your old building society took to end up with the building society or bank that it is with now please use the following link. This takes you to a comprehensive list of mergers, transfers of engagements and changes of names since 1937. The dates of changes are also provided.
